Mooo!
So. One weekend we decided to investigate the world of narrowboats,
with a view to maybe buying one sometime next year, assuming we could
find one that felt right and was in budget. Sometimes things don't quite
work to plan and we came across a cracking 55 foot narrowboat that spoke
to us as soon as we saw her so we, um, bought her. Quite an expensive
impulse buy....
So now we are officially narrowboaters, or
"coffin-dwellers" as some would call us. The boat is newly
renamed "Mooo" (please note the 3 O's) and makes us smile. We
have just completed our first trip, to move her from Oundle on the River
Nene to her new moorings near Norton Junction on the Grand Union Canal.
The trip report is here.
